The citizens of Berlin museum island is the northern point of the Spreeinsel in the center of Berlin. It is historically the germ cell of the citizens of Berlin museum landscape and with its museums today a much visited tourist point of approach and one of the most important museum complexes of the world. Since 1999 the museum island belongs to the World cultural heritage of the UNESCO as a world-wide singular structural and cultural ensemble.
